What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2ND SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR position at Minute Men Staffing?
Summary:
To serve as a Production Supervisor in all aspects of production needs in accordance with customer and company requirements. Assumes responsibility for directing manufacturing in obtaining efficient operations of all manufacturing activities. Maintains a focus on customer service (quality and on time delivery are a priority). Directs and manages manufacturing groups (assembly, soldering, SMT, test, etc.). Demonstrates commitment to employee involvement.
Responsibilities/ Principal Duties:
• Manages and monitors workflow to meet or exceed expected delivery dates to achieve 100% on time delivery.
• Monitors and measures the efficiency of the manufacturing process using time studies and process evaluation.
• Troubleshoot & adjust/fix SMT machines as needed to restore proper operation.
• Enforces operational policies and procedures set by management.
• Assigns & oversees tasks to personnel dependent on daily requirements.
• Determines additional training needs and requirements for production staff and provides recommendations to management.
• Monitors, evaluates, and reports staffing needs to management.
• Administer daily report to communicate production output.
• Communicate regularly with employees to keep production on schedule and achieve our goal of 100% on time delivery.
• Monitor & maintain the manufacturing floor is clean and orderly. Ensure procedures for housekeeping are enforced.
• Administer disciplinary action when situations arise. Report all necessary disciplinary actions to the Production Manager and get them involved for major incidents.
• Appraise employee’s productivity and efficiency.
• Determine & submit requests to management for supplies, tools, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Interpersonal skills in communication, teamwork and conflict resolution are essential. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education: The Production Supervisor should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Three years-experience in supervision and/or manufacturing is required.
Physical / Cognitive Requirements: All work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
Internal Contacts: This position will interface with all areas of the manufacturing workforce and management team
