What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Burner Operator position at Minute Men Staffing?
Minutemen Direct is recruiting for a CNC Burner Operator for a metal fabricator in Cleveland, OH. Hours are 1st shift 5AM-3:30PM Monday-Thursday and pay starts at $30-$34 BOE. Must be willing to work overtime.
CNC burn table operator, operates a computer-controlled machine that uses a high-intensity flame to cut shapes out of metal plates, ensuring quality and following pre-programmed schematics. Must have experience with thick plate oxyfuel burning.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating CNC Oxyfuel and Plasma cutting machines to process carbon and stainless steel for fabrication: This includes loading raw materials, selecting the correct cutting parameters (like gas type, tip, and speed), and ensuring the machine is functioning correctly.
- Monitoring the cutting process:
- They watch the machine while it's operating, listening for any unusual sounds or behaviors, and making adjustments/calibrations as needed.
- Understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawing.
- Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
- Ensuring quality: They inspect the finished parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and dimensions.
- Performing basic maintenance: This may include cleaning the machine, changing tips, or making minor repairs.
- Following safety protocols: They must adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures when operating the machine.
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Overhead crane and tow motor experience preferred
- Willingness to learn
- Read a standard and metric tape measure
