We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing company in Columbus, OH. This position involves operating various machine tools to produce precision components. The ideal candidate has experience with manual and CNC machines, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal operation.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure efficiency and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company protocols.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training or apprenticeship preferred).
• Previous experience as a machinist, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with CNC programming is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery as needed.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to precision work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
