NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK
Minuteman High School is looking to hire a Long-Term Sub Technical Assistant for our Health, Hospitality and Human Services Pathway (Early Education and Teaching, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts and Health Assisting). Minuteman technical assistants are responsible for assisting teachers with classroom instruction and in shop settings. Individuals applying for this position will work collaboratively with instructors across the Health, Hospitality and Human Services Pathway. They will participate effectively in school-wide department goals, and academic-vocational integration activities. Candidates will ensure professional growth on a yearly basis, with a focus on continuous improvement in student learning. The anticipated start date is immediately-April 18, 2025.
Major Responsibilities:
Present topics relevant to the program under the guidance of lead teacher.
Locate and compile information to prepare exhibits, demonstrations, equipment and other materials used in the CTE programs.
Demonstrate methods, procedures, techniques and uses of materials, tools, equipment required in the CTE programs under the direction of the lead teacher.
Conduct educational visits related to instructional activities in the CTE program.
Tutor individual students or groups in subjects that require basic to advanced knowledge of CTE program.
Review students’ work for correct procedures to develop skills and techniques related to CTE programs.
Assist in student transportation as needed.
At various times assist other teachers or fill-in for teachers when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned and approved by CTE Director or Administrators.
Salary : $35,000
