What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Shop Customer Service/Graphic Designer position at Minuteman Press?
Minuteman Press, the world’s largest and top-rated digital print, marketing, and design franchise is seeking a candidate for Graphic Designer/Customer Service.
The position involves Customer Service with some graphic design and some print production. Must have a history of customer service with an understanding of graphic / layout skills, and an interest in learning the print industry.
This position will work directly with customers in person, via email, and over the phone.
Duties of the Print Shop Customer Service candidate will include:
- Customer service: assisting and consulting with clients about their projects in person, on the phone, and via email.
- Layout and manipulate basic projects based on the customer’s needs.
- Submitting files and placing orders with vendors.
- Manage projects that involve a wide range of high-quality printing and communication services.
- Review job specifications from work orders and ensure that client files are accurate to produce jobs.
- Maintain an orderly work area.
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent people skills and communication skills. Positive and friendly.
- Have retail sales experience.
- Be able to work independently and be able to multi-task/handle several client jobs at the same time.
- Have knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience with prepress and design is preferred but not required.
- Experience at a print or copy shop is preferred but not required.
- FEDEX Office, UPS Store, and Staples Print Shop experience very helpful!
No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays.
Pay is based on experience.
