What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN position at Minutemen OhioComp?
Minutemen OhioComp is currently seeking a Full-Time LPN for our Mansfield office. Minutemen OhioComp is a Managed Care Origination (MCO) that medically manages injured workers' claims. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, dayshift, no weekends/ holidays. Medical benefits offered the following month of hire. We encourage recent graduates to apply.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITLIES:
1. Collaborates with the assigned RN case manager to make determinations of reimbursement of treatment (C-9) requests.
2. Gathers pertinent medical evidence including progress notes, assessments, diagnostic test results, BWC and industrial commission orders, etc., needed for the treatment decision making process as it relates to the allowed conditions in the IW’s claim.
3. Utilizes the Official Disability Guidelines, Miller criteria and MCO Policy Reference Guide to make treatment decisions.
4. Obtains file reviews by the MCO medical director for more complex treatment request issues.
5. Communicates and collaborates with providers as needed in the treatment decision process.
6. Documents the clinical rationale for the treatment decision.
7. Performs job requirements in a manner consistent with the corporate guidelines for ethics in the workplace.
8. Contributes to team effort by performing other related job tasks.
9. Participates in continuing education opportunities to further advance professional development.
10. Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses work within their respective scopes of practice.
11. Maintains knowledge of current BWC policy and procedure.
Possesses the following qualifications:
1. LPN Licensure
2. Computer and typing skills.
3. Good organizational skills.
4. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
