Duties

• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly stored after cleaning.
• Assist in food preparation as needed by washing vegetables, peeling fruits, and preparing ingredients for cooking.
• Support kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils throughout service periods.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Help with general kitchen maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
• Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Experience

• Previous experience in food handling or kitchen environments such as restaurants, hotels, catering services, or banquet facilities is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with culinary terms and food preparation techniques is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace.
