Overview
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Opener at 6:00 a.m. to join our team in providing children a nurturing and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children, including infants and those with disabilities. As an Opener, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that children receive the highest quality of care and education.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive manner.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
- Assist in the daily routines of children, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
- Provide caregiving support to infants, ensuring their needs are met with sensitivity and care.
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and execute age-appropriate educational activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom and common areas.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Drive as needed; must have a good driving record to be insured.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a daycare, nannying, or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive child development.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices, particularly infant care.
- Understanding of early childhood education principles is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with children who have disabilities or special needs.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A genuine love for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
