Position Summary:
This position leads a small team supporting the Product Support activities. The primary focus of this position is to be responsible for managing the Global Application Engineering lab team across all Miraclon technology platforms. Direct key engineering support activities to drive New Product Introductions (NPI) in collaboration with in-house R&D innovation programs.
Your Role
- Responsible for managing the Global Application Engineering lab team across all Miraclon technology platforms.
- Direct key engineering support activities to drive New Product Introductions (NPI) in collaboration with in-house R&D innovation programs.
- Develop and maintain a robust competitive technical intelligence program.
- Use market and customer analytics to provide input in the development of technology roadmap strategies that align with evolving industry trends.
- Develop and evaluate KPIs to drive value both for innovation and customer support programs.
- Implement continuous process improvement initiatives to maximize effectiveness across all application engineering programs.
- Lead the generation of world class product support resources with formats including on-site training, webinars, documentation, and digital tools.
- Leverage customer feedback to align global/regional projects to strengthen value-selling initiatives.
- Effectively collaborate within cross-functional project teams comprised of sales, regional service, IT, marketing, operations, and R&D.
- Work with outside vendors, channel partners, and external teams to identify, collect, and confirm business opportunities, as well as technical requirements for NPI.
Your Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Chemistry, or relevant science field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years industry experience.
- Experience in graphic arts/printing industry ideal but not required.
- Expertise in engineering product development, technical customer service, market research, technical sales, and business analytics.
- Ideally 5-10 years previous management experience.
- Looking for a hands-on, open-minded, leader that recognizes the importance of building relationships with stakeholders across the organization but also with external industry partners.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 10-25% mostly domestic with some international.
- Experience leading cross-functional workstreams.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software (Mintab, JMP, etc).
