We are seeking an experienced Training Event Education Technician who has a proven track record of exceeding expectations and providing world-class service to high-level personnel.
Position Summary:
The role of the Training Event Education Technician is to support Coordinate with and support department chairs, course managers, customer liaison officers, faculty, students, facility staff and administrative staff to provide administrative functions listed below in support of training events and conferences
Responsibilities may include:
- Collects and maintains student demographic data. Prepares and updates rosters, statistical reports, and graphic presentations for faculty upon request.
- Facilitates pre-course communication with students via e-mail and Microsoft Teams. Manages and loads current course and administrative documents into the Corner Stone on Demand (CSOD), Microsoft Teams (DAU student information delivery systems) and/or DAU’s SharePoint repository for dissemination.
- Prepares learning spaces by arranging computer/audio/visual requirements, supplies and materials. Coordinates physical space layout to ensure a professional atmosphere.
- Communicates with faculty and staff to ensure learning materials are properly prepared, available, and distributed to each participant for in-person events, or according to the schedule/agenda provided.
- Supports faculty and students by providing ad hoc technical assistance and instruction with local audio visual and computer equipment, log-on procedures for IT systems, protocol, local rules, and facilities maintenance.
- Conducts end of course administration close out to include preparing graduation certificates, and final rosters.
- Coordinate logistics and support to/for guest speakers/visitors as they support either DAU classroom instruction, Mission Assistance efforts, or other CLO activities.
- Coordinate with Regional Education Support Specialists for required paperwork, rosters, and other administrative DAU and documents required during DAU engagements (classes and MA).
- Assist regional team and local team in identifying and providing reasonable accommodations for students with special needs as required.
- Provide virtual support to WEBINARS and other Virtual events such as TED Talks.
- Receives phone calls and email support requests and provides assistance in support of DAU activities
- Schedules meetings, conferences, and training events
- Maintains calendars, office schedules and participates in information management activities
- Prepares and consolidates reports, SOPs, correspondence, e-mail, and graphic presentations
- Performs clerical and statistical data entry
- Maintains a high level of proficiency in learning delivery software such as Microsoft Teams for Education and the Zoom collaboration suite. Also maintains high level of proficiency in automated application programs to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Edge (or other internet browser) as well as other DoD/DAU software packages such as CSOD, the Mission Assistance System (MAS), and the DAU Business System.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree AND 5 years' relevant experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience coordinating events (both in-person and virtual) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools (such as Microsoft Teams, CSOD, and SharePoint) is essential. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
- Prior experience in administrative roles within an educational institution.

Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
