Landscape Irrigation Technician

Miranda's Landscaping, proud landscape service provider for the Vandenberg Space Force Base Housing Community, is seeking a reliable, knowledgeable, team-oriented irrigation technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in irrigation systems and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal irrigation solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, ensuring proper coverage and water efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systems, including leaks, clogs, and malfunctions.
• Perform regular maintenance on irrigation equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Adjust sprinkler heads, controllers, and irrigation timers for optimal water distribution.
• Work with the team to assess landscape irrigation needs and make recommendations for improvements.
• Provide basic landscape maintenance as needed, including mowing, trimming, and edging.
• Maintain accurate records of irrigation system repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and best practices.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience as an irrigation technician or in a related field preferred (training available for the right candidate).
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, back flow prevention devices, and water management techniques.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repair of irrigation systems (sprinklers, valves, controllers).
• Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., blowers, mowers, trimmers).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently, while also collaborating with a team.
• Ability to lift, bend, and handle equipment for extended periods.
• Safety-conscious approach to work, with an emphasis on efficient and environmentally responsible irrigation practices.

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Requirements:

• Valid ID and ability to pass a background check (required for base access).
• Reliable transportation (current registration and insurance required for base access).
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Bilingual or English-speaking preferred.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
