SUMMARY
The AVP, Community Partnerships & Engagement will lead and oversee Mirastar Federal Credit Union’s community impact initiatives, including managing the charitable donations and sponsorships supported by the Mirastar Community Impact Fund. This role is critical to enhancing Mirastar’s presence and influence within the communities we serve and will also assist with the Mirastar Community Advisory Board. The AVP, Community Partnerships & Engagement will develop strategic partnerships, support key Mirastar community programs, design other impactful programs, and execute engagement activities that align with Mirastar’s mission to create vibrant, prosperous communities. This position combines leadership, creativity, and a commitment to making a measurable difference through innovative community involvement and requires a strategic, collaborative, and empathetic leader who can build relationships, execute impactful programs, and evaluate outcomes to ensure sustainable community benefits.

· Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field and/or 5 to 7 years of experience in community engagement, corporate social responsibility, program management, or related field.
· Demonstrated track record of managing, designing, and implementing successful community impact programs and partnerships.
· Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: None required.
· Geographical Location: This position may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Individuals working in this position must be located within the state of California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Program Development and Execution – Lead the planning and execution of key events, including volunteer initiatives, sponsorships, and community outreach programs. Design and implement community engagement initiatives and programs that align with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic goals. Identify community needs through research, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis.
· Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community leaders, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, schools, and other stakeholders. Represent Mirastar at community functions, conferences, and industry events to promote the organization’s efforts and build partnerships.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for community-related inquiries and collaborations.
· Partnership Development – Identify and establish strategic partnerships with local organizations to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
· Event Planning and Execution – Plan and execute community-focused events such as volunteer days, donation drives, or outreach campaigns. Oversee logistics, budget management, and coordination for events.
· Volunteer Management – Collaborate with internal departments to integrate community engagement activities across the organization and encourage companywide volunteer participation in supporting community initiatives. Coordinate volunteer events and ensure alignment with the organization’s impact goals.
· Monitoring and Reporting – Develop metrics to measure the impact of community engagement programs that align with strategic priorities. Prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders. Present recommendations to leadership to grow and improve community impact strategies.
· Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act including but not limited to reporting suspicious activities to supervisor and BSA Officer.
