What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Fab Machine Operator - Night Shift position at MIRATECH Corporation?
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Shipping
Primary Responsibility: A Fabricator is responsible for the production of silencer components to internal and customer requirements.
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am.
What You'll Do:
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling,
sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming the metals. - Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs.
- To meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
- Interpretation of blueprints and written part requirements.
- Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
- Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
- Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
- Cut, shape metals to be prepped for the welders.
- Other duties as assigned.
How to qualify?
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
You'll stand out if you have:
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Prior work experience as a Metal Fabricator
