Manufacturing Lead - 2nd Shift

Reports to: Production Manager

Cooperates with: Operations/Production, Procurement, Engineering, Human Resources

Located: Houston, TX

Primary Responsibility: The Team Lead will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring quality control, and fostering a safe and productive work environment. This individual must have strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate tasks efficiently.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist supervisors in overseeing daily production activities and coordinating team tasks.
• Act as the first point of contact for team members regarding operational issues.
• Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for new and existing employees.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety guidelines, reporting hazards and enforcing STOP WORK authority when necessary.
• Communicate updates, instructions, and process improvements between team members and supervisors.
• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available for efficient production.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents including production drawings.
• Strong leadership and management skills are essential to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions, report issues, and collaborate with other departments.
• The ability to identify and address issues, make decisions under pressure, and implement solutions is crucial.
• Basic Computer skills using applications such as email Microsoft Word and Excel.
