Primary Responsibility: The First Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the team of First Shift employees and ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of products, parts, or components.

1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Shift
1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Help ensure employees safely conduct themselves and safety measures are being complied with.
- Supervise and lead a team of employees during the second shift. Facilitate daily team startup meetings as well as safety meetings.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to ensure they meet their performance goals.
- Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the second shift.
- Ensure that all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Address, and resolve any issues, or challenges that arise during the shift.
- Monitor product or service quality to ensure it meets company and customer expectations.
- Communicate with management on issues and production requirements through conversations, phone, or email.
- Help support activities related to Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Help lead continuous improvement activities on 2nd Shift.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents including production drawings.
- Strong leadership and management skills are essential to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions, report issues, and collaborate with other departments.
- The ability to identify and address issues, make decisions under pressure, and implement solutions is crucial.
- Basic Computer skills using applications such as email Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Secondary education or training in manufacturing and continuous improvement are desirable.
