Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, high-performance data architectures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, ETL processes, and Tableau, working cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights. This role supports two key projects : Workforce Management Data Migration, where the architect will transition data from an on-prem SQL Server to Azure Data Lake and Snowflake, replacing the existing ETL process with a more sustainable architecture and optimizing SQL queries. Additionally, the Cloud Vendor Data Integration project requires developing a seamless data pipeline, shifting from daily flat file deliveries to efficient Parquet / S3 or streaming solutions for improved data flow and integration.
Responsibilities :
Architect and implement scalable, efficient, and robust data architecture solutions utilizing Snowflake.
Integrate Snowflake with Azure Data Lake to enable seamless data flow and storage.
Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL processes to ingest and transform data into Snowflake.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable solutions.
Optimize Snowflake performance, focusing on best practices such as data partitioning, query tuning, and resource scaling.
Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and workflows.
Leverage Tableau to design dynamic dashboards and reports, delivering interactive data visualizations to business stakeholders.
Mentor junior team members and promote best practices across the team.
Stay current with the latest trends in data architecture, Snowflake, and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
3 years as a Snowflake Architect or in a similar role.
3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning, and security best practices.
Strong expertise in integrating Snowflake with Azure Data Lake.
3 years of experience with ETL tools and complex data workflows.
Experience with big data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
Advanced proficiency in Tableau for building interactive dashboards and reports.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Nice to have :
Familiarity with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or Node.js.
Experience with automated testing practices for data pipeline reliability.
