Job Summary
Mirbeau Hospitality Services is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Reservations Specialist who will be responsible for providing information, selling overnight accommodations, and dining and spa amenities for multiple Mirbeau Inn & Spa locations. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, the willingness to learn and the ability to multi-task. Our mission at Mirbeau is to provide polite and friendly service that makes our Inn a memorable experience for our guests.
Pay Rate: $18 per hour plus commission
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming phone calls for multiple locations in accordance with Mirbeau standards
- Assist guests in making reservations and process requests relative to hotel accommodations, dining and spa services
- Promote and sell spa services and overnight packages. Assist in the planning of guests' stay, answer general inquiries and special requests
- Accurately input all phone reservations and process online reservations across multiple platforms. Process payments and/or refunds. Confirm all details of a reservation verbally and by email
- Maintain complete knowledge of all sales promotions, packages and marketing efforts across multiple properties
- Understand and comply with all departmental policies, services, procedures and standards
- Process gift card orders
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of prior experience in customer service or similar position in the hospitality industry, sales or office setting is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends and holidays
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior customer service skills for both external and internal contacts
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks and details simultaneously
- Maintain a high level of guest confidentiality
- Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
- Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry across multiple platforms, spreadsheets and generating reports using standard software applications, minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
