Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and applied behavior analysis, with a focus on supporting individuals with autism and other behavioral health challenges. This role involves working closely with children and their families to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and implement effective behavioral interventions.
Must live in Oregon - although 90% of work is remote.
This is a part-time 1099 position with the opportunity for a full-time position based on quality of work, $40/hour.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to identify behavioral issues and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Creating TESPs, FBAs, and PBSPs.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the patient's development.
- Provide training and support to caregivers on effective behavior management strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Requirements
- Bachelors in a psychology related field and 3 years of proven experience as a behavior consultant OR Masters with 2 years of experience in behavior consulting. This is state mandated so this is a must.
- Background IN ABA Therapy is a plus.
- Proven experience in patient care.
- Able to create TESPs, FBAs and PBSPs.
- Highly organized.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with data collection methods for behavioral assessment.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and Intellectual Disabilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
