Summary
The Accounting Specialist supports the finance department by handling accounts receivable responsibilities and customer reporting. This is a role that will report to the Controller and support Credit and Collections.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Process payments to accounts and research issues
- Process credit memos.
- Research sales payment deductions / short pays.
- Conduct customer calls for payment
- Submit daily deposit totals to accounts payable
- Credit application processing, including calling on credit references and new account set up.
- Handle credit holds according to established processes
- Issue account statements to select customers as requested

3-5 years general accounting and collection experience
Keyboard accuracy and attention to detail
Effective time management skills
Basic math skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office primarily with Excel.
Effective communication with internal and external customers
Able to work independently and prioritize assignments.
Prior experience with ERP reporting a plus
