Background:
The Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G9 (ODCS, G9) is the principal military adviser to the ASA (IE&E) on a broad array of programs, including management of facilities and infrastructure, environmental programs, housing, installation logistics, public and private partnerships, and energy and water security and sustainability. The ODCS, G9 is the principal Army Staff (ARSTAF) adviser to the Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA) on installation and Family support matters and assists the CSA in acting as the agent of the Sec Army in carrying into effect approved plans and recommendations. The ODCS, G9 is also the principal military adviser to the ASA (M&RA) and ASA (FM&C) for Family morale, welfare, and recreation programs, Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF), and Soldier and Family readiness programs. This position is needed to successfully execute a myriad of ODCS, and G9’s IT support-related responsibilities to perform the organization’s mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Government in updating Change Management procedures and guidelines to increase awareness and understanding of proposed changes across diverse business units.
- Define, enact, support, and administer a knowledge management strategy for ensuring that relevant knowledge is readily available and used by diverse business units.
- Experience with concepts, practices and procedures associated with SharePoint portal support, design, maintenance, and knowledge management.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge management using Microsoft 365-based automated tools across the organization.
- Create training documentation and how-to-guides for stakeholders.
- Possess expert skills in the performance and user documentation of Microsoft 365 capabilities.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and sharing knowledge with work units, departments.
- Develop recommendations for organizational change management procedures and guidelines.
- Complete the assessment, development, and deployment of redesigned operations and processes.
- Systemically link relevant information from diverse sources to form a single and virtual knowledge repository.
- Establish leadership dashboards and standard displays to convey relevant information, facilitate a shared understanding of key information amongst decision makers, and provide an enterprise context for decisions.
Qualification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, records management, or data communications and database management.
- Minimum 10 years work experience in Information Technology Management
- Must possess a Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or comparable certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess a CompTIA Security certification
- Knowledge of the American Productivity & Quality Center Knowledge Management strategies preferred.
