Background:

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), headquartered at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, operates a worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees, and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. The Public Affairs Office (PAO) and Marketing (MPM) are responsible for fulfilling the obligation to keep important and diverse internal and external audiences informed. The success of DeCA in achieving its vision hinges, in large measure, upon DeCA’s ability to educate and inform key audiences through effective strategic communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and primary technical Cybersecurity advisor to the ISSO.
• Assist the DeCA ISSM in cybersecurity by addressing findings, creating Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs), applying patches, and gathering/uploading artifacts for tracking and reporting.
• Perform security configuration hardening and vulnerability management.
• Maintain continuous Authority to Operate (ATO) for DeCA web systems.
• Perform all necessary activities to address all Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) received by DeCA within the timeframe mandated by the US Cyber Command.
• Ensure compliance with the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program.
• Support cybersecurity operations to safeguard information for web system hardware and software information.
• Provide technical support during the Annual Security Review.
• Will use Enterprise Mission Assurance Support (E-MASS) to document system cybersecurity-related information.
• Use DeCA’s vulnerability scanning tool to identify system vulnerabilities and provide remediation.
• Perform activities required for the WEB Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DR) to keep operations in a continual state of readiness.
• Create, update, and maintain document control of the WEB COOP and DR plans.
• Annually conduct a COOP and DR exercise to verify readiness in the event of a disaster.
• Provide COOP/DR checklist before the scheduled exercise and After-Action reporting once the exercise has concluded.

• Must have IAM II Certification (CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP)
