Accountant/Office Manager
Seeking: Experienced Accountant/Office Manager with manufacturing experience (required) to lead accounting and IT functions of a small, family-owned, growing company.
The Accountant/Office Manager role at Miro Manufacturing, Waukesha, WI, oversees one AP/AR role, coordinates all capital purchases, handles onsite IT issues (with support from outside IT company), and collaborates with purchasing. Reporting directly to the President, the ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, hard work, efficiency, and the ability to see multiple facets of every issue to ensure sound advice and action.
Onsite role with some flexibility to work-from-home one day/week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger accounts by monitoring journal entry reparation, preparing monthly accruals and entries and reconciling accounts; submit financial statements to the accounting firm and bank monthly.
- Provide year end analysis, reconciliation and compilation for tax prep by outside CPA firm.
- Review and resolve discrepancies on internal reports; (i.e. shipping, open order, time and attendance, etc.)
- Assist customers and vendors regarding accounting related questions or concerns.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets as directed by the President.
- Direct contact with banks for controlled documents for loan processes on capital investments.
- Implement and maintain all business software.
Job Qualifications:
- 5-7 years direct accounting experience, preferably in a small- to mid-size manufacturing/industrial company.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or similar
- Extensive experience with purchase, loan process, and full order/delivery coordination on capital purchases.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of job costing software required, E2 a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook and Crystal Reports.
- Must be a motivated self-starter.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
