General Warehouse Worker
We are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pick, pack, wrap, label, ship and strap)
- Load/offload trucks and containers with forklift
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Keeping inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notifying the supervisor
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping
- Managing all merchandise with appropriate care
- Performing inventory counts and keeping quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Ensuring we have enough stock of warehouse supplies (boxes, peanuts, bags, water, etc.)
- Replenishing picking zones in warehouse
Skills
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (~50lbs)
- Current forklift license
- High school degree
- Positive attitude
- Good with numbers
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
