Misericordia is currently hiring a Director of Staff Development who will be responsible for the oversight of campus training and employee development programs. This position manages the Staff Development team in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of trainings for new hires, compliance, and professional development. This role works closely with Human Resources and Misericordia leadership to foster a culture of continued learning and development, as well as ongoing strategy for employee learning and growth.
The ideal candidate must have supervisory experience, skills and passion for teaching and coaching others, knowledge of adult learning principles, and proven success in training. The ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, and Misericordia leadership, is required. The candidate selected will oversee a team of highly skilled trainers who maintain the standards of Misericordia to support, teach, and develop our employees to succeed in providing excellent care to our residents while establishing pathways of development and learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree (required)
· Teaching and/or training experience with proven skills (required)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training evaluation.
· Proven ability to problem-solve, adapt to change, and manage multiple projects at once.
· Ability to successfully work in individual and team settings.
· Established knowledge of supervisory duties and superior competency in all skills.
· Possess a passion for working with our staff, in addition to motivating and developing others.
· Proven initiative in current role and established role model for others.
· Ability to comfortably teach both individuals and groups.
· Strong computer skills – Outlook, Microsoft Office
· Excellent attendance and punctuality.
· Ability to work flexible hours based on training schedule (including evenings, overnights, and weekends).
