The Barista's core purpose is to deliver Misericordia's commitment to craft by preparing bar drinks beverages and sharing deep coffee knowledge to help customers enjoy their favorite cup of coffee. Baristas work quickly and efficiently and take time to make genuine connections with our customers.
Customer Experience
- Provide friendly, authentic, and engaging service to customers in all service areas of the coffee bar, including the bean counter and espresso area.
- Prepare bar beverages for customers, meeting Misericordia's unmatched quality standards in taste and visual appearance.
- Work with a sense of urgency to meet service and speed targets.
- Possess deep knowledge of Misericordia's mission.
- Possess deep knowledge of Colectivo coffees, teas, and merchandise. Share information to educate customers about our offerings and drive coffee bar sales.
- Perform all other service and responsibilities within the Team member role, such as preparing brewed coffee, tea, or food items.
Daily Operations
- Prepare beverages to standard by following Colectivo's recipes and minimizing waste.
- Ensure bar and bean counter area equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area at all times.
- Perform all other operational responsibilities within the Misericordia team member role, such as cleaning, stocking, food safety, and cash handling.

Qualifications:
- 1 year experience working in a high-volume coffee shop as a barista, preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Carry a friendly, energetic, personable demeanor and passion for excellent customer service, with a customer-first mentality.
- Exhibit a strong focus on quality with interest in learning more about coffee.
- Be highly reliable and punctual
- Enjoy working in a team environment and building great relationships with their co-workers.
- Can work quickly, embrace and learn new information, multi-task, and incorporate feedback into personal performance.
- Perform various physical tasks during the work shift.
Pay: $18.25-18.75 an hour
