What are the responsibilities and job description for the Developmental Training DSP position at Misericordia Home?
Misericordia Heart of Mercy is a home to over 600 residents with mild to profound developmental disabilities. Misericordia offers a community of care that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged. We are looking to hire a DSP to work within our Developmental Training Programs.
As a DT DSP you will:
- Assist with running lesson plans, goals and objectives
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Help create a nurturing, educational environment for our residents
Qualifications
- Must have High School Diploma and/or GED
- The DT DSP must have at least 1 year of experience working with individuals who have developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- The DT DSP must successfully complete 4 weeks of paid training upon hire.
- The DT DSP must have the ability to be self-directed and possess strong organizational skills.
- The position is Monday through Friday
Pay Structure:
High School Diploma or GED: $20.00/hr
4-year degree: $21.00/hr
