Position Summary:
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality, condition, and safety of university buildings and infrastructure. This role involves routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairing and installing doors, windows, locks, and other structural components. In addition to patching and painting walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed.
The ideal candidate is a versatile, skilled individual with experience in various trades and a commitment to maintaining a high-standard learning environment.
Education:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Experience:
Five years of recent (within the last fifteen years) multiple trades experience that includes locks, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills in an educational or institutional environment.
Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in multiple trades in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills.

A current and valid PA driver’s license.
