Position Summary :
To provide assistance to the IT Networking Department in supporting students and system users by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : (other duties may be assigned)
- Assist with Network Setup and Configuration : Participate in the setup and configuration of network devices such as switches, uninterrupted power supplies, and access points.
- Troubleshoot Network Issues : Diagnose and resolve network problems by assisting in troubleshooting activities.
- Network Monitoring and Analysis : Learn and use network monitoring tools to observe network traffic, performance metrics, and security events.
- Assist with Network Security Measures : Participate in implementing and maintaining network security measures, such as network access controls.
- Perform Documentation and Reporting : Assist in documenting network configurations, procedures, and incidents.
Education
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university is required, with preferred education including completion of a relevant degree program such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and / or experience may be considered)
