Corporate Controller

Job Summary:

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the global accounting operations, enhancing internal controls and policy compliance. You provide leadership in all areas of accounting including reporting, financial systems, treasury, taxation, and internal controls. Your work enables our leaders to make smart financial decisions. What You'll Do

Lead

• Lead, inspire, grow, and develop the accounting department for Resource Intl's worldwide offices.
• Lead and coordinate the financial closing process and direct all accounting functions including consolidations, general accounting, cost accounting, credit and collections, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, insurance, bank compliance reporting, and cash management.
• Lead and coordinate activities of external auditors.
• Lead, develop and mentor small team of direct reports and create a positive, engaged culture.
• Responsible for recruiting, performance management and employee development.

Financial Accounting

• Establish and maintain financial systems and controls which verify the integrity of all Resource Intl Inc. financial information.
• Develop and manage standardization, documentation and automation of accounting practices, procedures, and controls globally throughout the organization to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete, that assets are safeguarded and records are properly maintained.
• Optimize accounting workflows and ERP systems
• Consolidation of and reporting for Resource Intl's global operations in accordance with GAAP and statutory regulations.
• Management of the general ledger, monthly closing process, and preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with required deadlines.
• Ensure the accuracy and timely dissemination of all financial reports, both internally and externally.
• In conjunction with the CFO manage, relationships with external auditors, accountants, financial, tax, and other compliance activities.

Treasury and Other Duties

• Responsible for credit and collections on accounts and distribution of aging and other reports to provide visibility to management to avoid potential issues.
• Develop 13-week cash forecasts and administer company cash flow management and treasury activities.
• Evaluate and further develop the accounting and finance infrastructure to support a growing organization while implementing key policies and procedures to help produce departmental and operational efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
• In conjunction with the CFO manage the broker relationship for liability insurance for all global operations.

Your Creds:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting plus CPA or MBA a plus
• 7-10 years of professional level accounting and finance experience including 3 years of progressive experience in Controllership or similar roles and 1 to 3 years of public accounting experience.
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices and procedures including multi-company and international consolidations and foreign exchange required.
• Proven ability to work hands on while scaling systems and teams
• Proficiency with ERP systems and integrations.
• Manufacturing and/or ecommerce experience.
• BI experience
• Experience meeting and reporting on covenants requirements.
• Being a business partner vs cost center

Extra Credit

• NetSuite
• Experience working with Private Equity is highly desirable.
• Experience going from QuickBooks to an ERP
• Experience in a high growth environment
