Position Summary
The Recruiter will be instrumental in building a strong talent pipeline by developing and executing innovative strategies to attract top talent. This position involves understanding the organization’s hiring needs, utilizing diverse sourcing methods, and managing the full recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience. The Recruiter will work with management to improve the hiring process and support the company’s long-term talent goals.
Essential Job Functions
- Facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment process
- Apply creative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs using various channels such as job boards, social media, and other networking platforms to source candidates
- Partner with managers to understand their hiring needs and position requirements
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone screen
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
- Schedule and participate in interviews between candidates and hiring manager
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information
- Collaborate with management during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Coordinate pre-employment checks, offer letters, and onboarding processes
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Attend and participate in college job fairs, community events, networking events and recruiting sessions
- Track and analyze key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill)
- Prepare regular recruitment reports for management
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Education/Experience –
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is required
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software is preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Ability –
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws, equal employment opportunity (EEO) guidelines, and compliance requirements
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to address hiring challenges quickly
- Ability to analyze data related to recruitment metrics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Capable of adjusting to shifting priorities and fast-paced work environments
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
