Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication administration protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the personal care home, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to promote a comfortable living space for residents.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and individuality in all interactions.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or long-term care settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with home community care systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in personal care is beneficial.
