Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, with a focus on tractor-trailer systems. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including shocks and struts.
- Diagnose issues using schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs.
- Conduct electrical system inspections and repairs on various industrial equipment.
- Provide tire service, including installation, rotation, and balancing of tires.
- Operate forklifts safely while moving equipment and parts as needed.
- Fabricate parts or components when necessary to enhance repair processes.
- Maintain detailed records of all service performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Skills
- Proficiency in maintaining diesel engines and related systems, particularly in tractor-trailer applications.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read schematics effectively.
- Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
- Ability to perform tire services efficiently and safely.
- Forklift operation certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
- Fabrication skills are a plus, enabling the creation of custom parts as needed.
