Teacher's Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role is essential in assisting with curriculum development, managing classroom behavior, and providing individualized support to children, particularly those with special needs or autism. Employees are also required to care for children outside of the preschool time and the children on the daycare side of the school.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
• Support students in their learning by providing one-on-one or small group assistance.
• Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Engage with children during playtime and other activities to encourage social interaction.
• Aid in the development of curriculum materials tailored to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher on individual performance.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a preschool or special education setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
