What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Mission Beach House?
The Server is responsible for providing guests with a positive dining experience through excellent product knowledge, strong sales skills and a positive attitude.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent guest service according to expectations outlined in the training portal
- Carries out all tasks necessary to prepare the restaurant for service prior to pre-shift
- Uses suggestive selling/recommendation approach on the menu, applying thorough product knowledge
- Rings orders and performs all necessary additional functions in the POS system
- Checks identification of all guests under the age of 30
- Does NOT serve intoxicated guests and communicates about any and all impaired guests to MOD
- Maintains accurate financial records of the shift, including all discounts and comps
- Maintains clean and safe work area
- Completes daily and weekly side work responsibilities on a consistent and thorough basis
- Assists other team members as necessary
- Completes additional tasks as assigned by the management team
- Keeps management informed of any problems, complaints from guests or other team members
- Follows all company policies as outlined in company handbook
Accountabilities:
- Addresses all guests in a manner consistent with company standards in providing quality product and service
- Takes all actions with the guest’s best interest in mind, focuses on building trust and loyalty through eliminating anonymous service and creating raving fans
- Adheres to all server expectations as defined in the training manual at 100%
