Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse Director - Critical Care to oversee all aspects of the department, ensuring exceptional patient care and adherence to nursing standards. This role involves liaising with medical staff, developing policies and procedures, addressing ethical and legal considerations, and directing a team to deliver high-quality care in critical care areas, including CCU, PCU, Telemetry, AIC, and DHU.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels in accordance with hospital guidelines.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and goals for nursing care in critical care areas.
- Maintain accurate records reflecting the care provided during patient stays.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, addressing variances as needed.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to plan performance improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend new products, equipment, and technology.
- Develop care protocols with input from Charge Nurses and staff.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings to address goals and promote participative decision-making.
- Coordinate in-service programs for new equipment, supplies, and procedures.
- Participate in the hiring and selection of new staff members.
Must Have's:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher required; BSN preferred).
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS & ACLS certification required.
- 3 years of nursing and leadership experience in an ICU department within an acute care setting.
- Proven leadership and team management skills in a critical care environment.
Nice to Have's:
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Strong background in acute care nursing leadership.
Location: Waycross, Georgia
Salary: $95,000 - $120,000
Compensation and Benefits:
- Incentive bonus of up to 15%.
- Sign-on and relocation bonuses available on a case-by-case basis.
