Our client is seeking a National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Security Manager 3 days a week onsite 2 remote to support multiple clients, primarily in Lexington Park, MD. This is a full-time, immediate-hire position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing various security management duties, including Facility Security Officer (FSO), Information Technology Personnel Security Officer (ITPSO), and Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee security operations in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and related regulations.
- Serve as the FSO / ITPSO / CPSO, ensuring adherence to all applicable security requirements.
- Maintain and manage security accounts within Defense Information Security System (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and National Industrial Security System (NISS).
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Support Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and Intelligence Community (IC) security operations.
- Conduct security inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
- Provide security briefings, debriefings, and training to personnel.
- Oversee insider threat programs, cyber awareness initiatives, and personally identifiable information (PII) protection.
- Collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and contractors to address security concerns.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of security incidents and issues.
Must Haves:
- Active U.S. Top Secret Personnel Security Clearance with SCI eligibility and Polygraph (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an FSO / CPSO supporting DCSA and IC programs.
- Strong knowledge of DISS, NBIS, and NISS security systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Completion of FSO Curriculum for Possessing Facilities.
- Working knowledge of federal security laws, 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM Rule, Presidential Directives, and Executive Orders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Reliable transportation for travel to client facilities in and around the National Capital Region.
- Ability to effectively detect, assess, and resolve security-related issues.

- Completion of Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) STEPP training courses, including:

Salary: $75,000 - $110,000
