Our client is seeking an experienced DSP Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of software for DSP and SIGINT systems. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in software development, signal processing, and communications systems. This role requires hands-on experience with programming languages such as Fortran, C, C , Python, and Java, along with expertise in Linux and GUI technologies. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test, analyze, and debug software for DSP/SIGINT systems.
- Develop and refine signal processing algorithms and techniques.
- Utilize programming languages, including Fortran, C, C , Python, and Java, in development projects.
- Leverage tools such as X-Midas (preferred) and MATLAB for DSP system development.
- Work with various operating systems, including Linux, Windows, Solaris, Digital Unix, and VMS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of professional experience in DSP/SIGINT systems development.
- Proficiency in Linux, Java, MATLAB, C, and DSP assembly languages (C/C /Fortran highly desired).
- Hands-on experience in communications or SIGINT systems development and testing.
Nice to Haves:
- Master s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of communication systems theory, including analog and digital modulation/demodulation.
- Expertise in signal processing algorithms and techniques.
- Experience with X-Midas is highly desired; MATLAB is a strong secondary preference.
- Background in algorithm development and building software for communications or SIGINT systems.
Location: Fairfax, VA
Salary: Competitive and based on experience. $130K - $210K
