What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Mission City Construction Inc.?
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. Please do not apply if you expect to sit in a truck or trailer all day. Our field leaders actively participate in the building process, overseeing work, assisting with, overseeing or performing layouts, working through detailing questions with our team members and ultimately providing leadership, over-site and solutions to the project and coordinating the same with project management. As a Construction Superintendent at Mission City, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on-site
-Perform layouts, including excavation layouts, finish snapouts, inspect foundation and framing layouts for correct layout and square.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Manage and schedule subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed correctly
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports and documentation of changes or delays
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success
-Produce and update weekly two week outlook schedules for review with Project Management
-Manage RFIs, submittals and project detail coordination as required so construction is not delayed (Procore)
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Teams & Office, MS Project)
- Familiarity with budgeting and cost control principles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
-Ability to oversee all typical trades, sufficient knowledge to inspect trade work for conformance with the blueprints and typical quality standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Valid driver's license

Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits package. ($110,000 - $130,000 benefits, company truck, technology package and discretionary bonuses)
