What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker II position at Mission Community Hospital?
Position Summary
The Food Service Worker II (FSWII) is responsible for performing duties related to the preparation of cold food for all the patients and for special meetings. The FSWII is required to keep the kitchen galleys stocked with appropriate nourishments at par levels. Lastly, the FSWII is serves cold food items to patients on the tray line. This position assures compliance with safety and sanitation standards according to Title 22, Joint Commission, and OSHA regulations. This position will be primarily working with adults.
Major Responsibilities
Food Preparation - 90%
- Prepares salads, sandwiches, and desserts for all patients by using food production sheets and census.
Other - 10%
- organizing and cleaning
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Must provide for confidentiality, privacy and safety of patients, visitors and staff at all times.
- Must be available to work all shifts if needed.
- Fire Card
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
- One year in food service desired.
