Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will work on our Data and Software Integration Services (DSIS) Team and will facilitate assigned projects by serving as a liaison between users and developers, setting and communicating goals, and evaluating and refining results. LOCATION

• Jefferson City, Missouri (Hybrid with some onsite requirements)

• Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems
• Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations
• Partner with other stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., sales, finance, security, compliance) to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams
• Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties
• Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
• Collaborate with business staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology
• Determine how changes to the project will affect the business and systems
• Provide recommendations regarding the evolution of the system
• Respond to inquiries and provide advice to the client regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs
• Negotiate plans and timeframes, ensuring that clients understand the anticipated result
• Develop and communicate detailed specifications for implementation
• Produce reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, customers, investors, and other relevant parties
• Maintain and ensure proper documentation and coordinate or perform testing of system modifications
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure the needs of the client have been met
• Research and analyze the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties
• Satisfy data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from existing client databases
• Act as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems
• Maintain current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks
• Assign tasks/work to team members (including contract staff) to complete contractual agreements on behalf of the company and project.
• Provide expert advice to clients and advise on the advantages and disadvantages of different products/services
• Implement management policies or operating practices within the project assignments.
• Carry out major assignments in completing the projects assigned.
• Provide expert advice to management to assist in responding to potential new business (RFP’s and Bid Responses) in the areas the individual has experience.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required
• At least 5 years of proven experience in analytics and systems development capacity
• State Government Experience
• High proficiency with SQL language and database management
• Proven analytical abilities
• Practical experience generating process documentation and reports
• Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio
• Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management
• Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions
• Extensive experience with data visualization
• Highly proficient technical writing capabilities
