MCS is hiring for an Audio Visual Supervisor/PM in Panama City, FL
This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
The Audio Visual Supervisor/PM must demonstrate the ability to motivate, enable and excite team members while working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities. The Audio Visual Supervisor/PM will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include:
- Developing a Project Plan, assigning tasks to Installation Technicians, and managing project outcomes.
- Managing the AV Installation Technicians on the project. Creating and monitoring the daily task list(s) and timelines for each Technician.
- Designing and developing custom AV system solutions; including audio, video, and control components, to meet client requirements.
- Programming and configuring AV control systems using industry-standard programming languages and tools like Crestron, QSC, AMX, or Extron.
- Conducting comprehensive testing and debugging of AV systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Assisting in evaluating and selecting new AV equipment, software, and tools to enhance system performance and functionality.
- Collaborating with installation technicians and providing technical guidance during system installation and integration.
- Reading and interpreting AV system drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Testing and troubleshooting systems for final quality assurance and customer acceptance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain US DoD Top Secret Clearance
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.
Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
- Professional certifications in AV programming (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, Extron AV Associate, or similar) will be advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
- 2-5 years of technical AV related experience
- Experience managing teams
- Experience managing projects of $1 Million in value or greater.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used in AV programming, such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, and BIAMP.
- The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including audio processors, video scalers, digital signal processors, switchers, and control systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, such as TCP/IP, RS-232, and Dante.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV system issues.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to travel to customer sites.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
