- Report the verification status of system requirements to support Operational Capability Baseline (OCB) changes, Engineering Annual Assessment Reports and when directed by MDA SE in support of the BC Chief Systems Engineer (CSE).
- Approve BMDS Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Architecture (BOA) Element Specifications (BES) verification reports to support BC and submit the verification reports to Systems Verification (SEU).
- Assist with the verification of BES that conform to and are traced to the System-level requirements from the System Specification (SS) and are on the Missile Defense System Technical Baseline (TBL).
- Provide support to the verification subject matter experts (SMEs) and the NG BOA team in the development of Factory Test Procedures/Plans that suitably verify the intended BOA functionality.
- Aid in the facilitation of training between the BC verification SMEs to confirm consistent verification standards and practices are used across BC.
- Provide oversight for NG BOA Verification plans, progress, and battle rhythm to ensure requirement verification is complete in the acceptable time for OCB changes.
- Travel to the NG BOA Factory in Boulder to oversee and provide technical insight during factory verification via demonstration and to support in the exercising of test procedures onsite with the Integration and Test team and BCD.
- Travel to the MDIOC to support interoperability testing between C2 and BOA.
- Support OPIR M&S cyber requirement compliance and readiness across various models including Future OPIR External Simulation (FOXSim), Dim Upper Stage Track Enhancement (DUSTE) Emulator, Real Time Recorded Data Simulation (RT-RDSim), Real Time Link Simulation (RT-LKSim), and Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Cue App Simulation (SCueS).
- Coordinate with MDA/BCE leadership to review and provide recommendations on Task Instructions (TIs) in support of OPIR M&S and Verification activities.
- Review contract Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) and provide feedback to MDA/BCE leadership on technical, cost, and schedule aspects for OPIR M&S and Verification tasks.
- Provide weekly BOA Verification updates for presentation to MDA/BCE leadership during weekly staff meetings.
- BS/BA and 3 years of experience.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development processes and product development timelines.
- Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.
- Ability to work independently within a dynamic environment.
- Apply network engineering and solutions to support real-world test, integration, and operations.
- Develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel; exceptional written and verbal skills required.
- Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Military experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with MDA/Government engineering processes/databases.
- Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts.
