Concept development will utilize a model-based system engineering (MBSE) approach in an Agile workflow and environment.
Basic Qualifications: The candidate must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area. A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field is required. Candidate should have 7 or more years of system engineering experience.
The candidate must have experience in one or more of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirement decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
Candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment. The candidate must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions can meet the needs of the intended users. The system engineer must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles.
Other Qualifications: System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program. Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired. Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe© Agile experience are a plus.
