At Mission Essential, we are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Domain Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center (KMAC) in providing quality all-source analysis expertise and operational electronic intelligence (OpELINT) support to Maritime Domain Awareness efforts.
About the Job
This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals with strong analytical skills and experience working with foreign civil maritime activities and assets. Your responsibilities will include analyzing merchant vessels, cargo movements, fisheries/marine resources, territorial seas and related claims, crime and piracy, counterintelligence, counter-narcotics, counter-proliferation, off-shore infrastructures and strategic trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing foreign civil maritime activities and assets to provide comprehensive mission knowledge and skills
- Providing status updates as required on vessel locations to ONI assigned MDA common intelligence and operational pictures (CIP/COP) applications and databases
- All-source analytical production on foreign naval air, surface, undersea warfare and or naval infantry/amphibious/expeditionary forces and associated their operations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience with the Intelligence Community GALE system and NSA's WRANGLER database. Additionally, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from an accredited college or university by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Desired Experience
We are looking for candidates with at least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the job description with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
