Job Summary:
Mission Children’s is seeking a Part-Time Newborn Advanced Practice Provider to join our engaged and passionate group of providers.
Qualified Candidates:
- Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner/physician assistant program with appropriate certification exams
- Preferred experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Ability to work part-time (0.5 FTE) 4-6 hour day shifts with rotating weekend coverage
- Incoming candidate will join a team of 3 Newborn Hospitalists
- Work with newborns on our 34 bed Mother-Baby Unit
- 100% inpatient

- 51-bed, Level-III NICU staffed by our Neonatology team
- 34 bed Mother Baby Unit
- 19 bed Pediatric Unit
- 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team
- Strong MFM program and new MFM Fellowship; good relationships with OBs and MAHEC OB/GYN Residency
- An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units
- Approximately 4,000 deliveries per year
- Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year
- Dedicated infant transport team serving a 55-county area
