Job Summary :
HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is currently seeking a BE / BC Anesthesiologist to join the leadership team at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
This is a Vice Chief / Assistant Facility Medical Director (AFMD) position that will work collaboratively with the Facility Medical Director and APP leadership. Mutual respect, collaboration and a genuine love of providing excellent patient care are at the core of the Anesthesia department.
Ideal candidate will be highly skilled in communication, relationship building, and be able to represent the Anesthesia department as a true, collaborative partner within the organization. Responsibilities include assuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes and maintaining an environment that supports employee satisfaction and retention. Previous leadership experience desired but not required.
Qualifications / Highlights of Opportunity :
- Anesthesia Care Team model of 35 Anesthesiologists and 100 CRNAs covering 29 ORs, 6 Cardiac ORs, 11 Outpatient ORs, and additional sites of service in the hospital.
- Supervision of CRNAs 1 : 4. CRNA are in-house providing 24 / 7 coverage.
- Will be ABMS Board Certified and have the ability to be licensed in North Carolina
- Can expect a mix of procedures in a very busy facility with an average of over 50,000 cases annually
- Will enjoy a wide variety of cases including cardiac, ortho, neuro, general, urology, ENT, Bariatric, Vascular, Thoracic, OB / GYN, Peds and Trauma
- Willingness to teach appreciated.
