Job Summary and Qualifications
- Provide leadership and facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Utilize the nursing process to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Implement medically prescribed interventions.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position.
- Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing.
- Required License/Certifications: Current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, eNLC license may apply.
- Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty.
- Required Experience: One-year hospital nursing experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
