Job Description : EXT!!!
Primary patient population is CV surgery and vascular surgery to include open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, Bentall, TAVR, etc), thoracic lung surgery (lobectomy, thoracotomy, etc.), esophagogastrectomy, AAA (open and endovascular), fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomies.
Number of Beds – 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds
Number of Staff – approximately 100 total
Patient Ratios – 1 : 5 patients per RN, 1 : 13 for PCT’s
Type of equipment – Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, various lifts
EMR - Cerner
Job Requirements
Stepdown experience
Telemetry experience
Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, and fem-pop bypass) within a year
CVICU experience
Schedule Information
No call.
Weekend requirements minimum – 6 weekend shifts (Saturday / Sunday day / night) per 6 week schedule period.
Flexible to work Holiday

Unit Information : 4Heart, Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC)
Floating Area(s) : Any SD (1 : 5 ratios) or MS (1 : 6-7 ratios) unit, ER inpatient holding area (1 : 6).

Dress Code : Scrub Color / Attire – All navy, white tops / navy bottoms, or all white.
