Day to day as a Systems Engineer - Senior Level
As a Senior-level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will play a pivotal role in guiding multidisciplinary teams within the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG) and Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG). Your expertise will be vital in overseeing mid-level and junior engineers as they engage in critical activities such as requirements engineering, solutions development, and system integration. You'll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate GEOINT by analyzing user needs, planning system architecture traceability, and enhancing existing systems through innovative workflows. Moreover, your work will involve conducting analyses of alternatives, trade studies, and supporting strategic technical planning and risk management. Required Skills and Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent Senior level experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Senior-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
- Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program
- Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages, and Software Development Frameworks.
- INCOSE Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
- Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
- Licensure as a professional engineer.
- Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations:
- Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
