What it's like to be a Systems Engineer - Mid Level at Mission Intelligence Group

As a Mid-Level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will leverage a multi-discipline approach to engage in vital functions that enhance the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG) and Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG). Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of activities, including requirements engineering, solutions engineering, integration, and reliability analysis. You will conduct planning and traceability of user requirements while developing innovative solutions that improve existing systems. Supporting the Government, you will translate mission needs into actionable systems requirements and assist in strategic technical planning, project management, and performance engineering.

Additionally, your role will involve performing systems integration and contributing to Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) and Engineering Assessments. This position offers a fulfilling opportunity to drive excellence in GEOINT services while working collaboratively in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Active TS / SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
  • Mid-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including : DoD / IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.

Desired Skills and Experience :

  • Working knowledge of Software Development, Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • INCOSE Associate Systems engineering Professional (ASEP).
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial.
  • Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations :
  • ACSM

  • ASCE
  • ASPRS
  • SAREM
  • USGIF
  • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG / ASG and NRO.
  • Previous NGA and / or NSG / ASG program / project work experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program / project work experience.
